Press News: July 2005

This latest update brings news of a personal kind. Crispin went into hospital on May 26 suffering from an attack of acute pancreatitis. This is an inflammation of the pancreas which causes severe pain and shock to the system. After 4 weeks in hospital he has returned home, and is recovering slowly. He is still very weak, but is feeling better by the day. The consequence for Barbarian Press is that work progresses slowly. In the present circumstances  much of our time and energy must be devoted to Crispin's recovery.

Our most recent book, Gallipoli, is printed, and is being sewn into covers with the help of kind friends. Invoices and books will be going out in the near future. Over the summer, I will be printing Venus and Adonis with wood engravings by Andy English. Crispin will be overseeing and kibbitzing as he is able.
